Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO) Job Summary The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as its Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO). This is a detail opportunity available to current federal employees within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Responsibilities: – Supervise the IT Specialist, GS 22-10-15 – Serve as principal advisor and technical consultant to the IC Director and senior staff – Oversee IT strategic plans and services – Serve as technical expert on LANs and systems integration – Oversee systems development and enhancement, as well as hardware and software acquisition management activities – Serve as principal advisor on advanced networking technologies – Serves as principal advisor on the use of cybersecurity mechanisms to safeguard user data – Serve as principal advisor on IT regulations and policies – Oversee IT contractors – Oversee the Information Technology budget process Requirements: – Submit a statement of interest (no more than 2 paragraphs) and resume via email to NIMHsearchmail.nih.gov
